Introduction

In the vast sea of trading robots on the market, EA Frankenstein is a name that has been making waves lately. Its name and high rating certainly offer a sense of allure. But, as we all know, in trading, things are never as simple as they seem.

Description of Functions

EA Frankenstein seems to be based on a grid strategy, which in itself is not unique. Indeed, the market is rife with grid-based EAs, some with phenomenal success, others less so. The key often lies in the details. What sets this trading robot apart is its ability to keep drawdown under control, as noted by one of the users. The robot is also customizable, allowing you to set it on multiple USD pairs and adjust the ATR value for safer performance.

Analysis of Results

Even though we don't have definitive numbers, users suggest that with a conservative approach, you can target 1-2% profit per month. For many traders, this kind of steady return is a holy grail. However, let's remember that past performance doesn't guarantee future results.

Pros and Cons

On the positive side, EA Frankenstein has received good feedback about support, which can be vital when deploying an EA. From a risk management perspective, the ability to control drawdown is a plus. However, the grid strategy it employs can also be a downside. In the wrong market conditions, a grid can lead to significant losses. Moreover, the EA doesn't seem to offer anything revolutionary or unique apart from the good control over the drawdown.

The Source Code of EA Frankenstein

As a point of clarification, it's important to state that the original source code of EA Frankenstein is unknown to us and the wider public. The trading robot is sold on MQL5, and as is standard practice, the exact workings of a robot are kept secret by its developers. However, with the details provided on the MQL5 site, it's possible to build a version of the EA Frankenstein.

I've experienced instances where the buy and sell buttons in the panel lag, leading to the absence of a take profit level. This can create some frustration as it hampers effective order management.

I've been thinking: how about enabling the EA Frankenstein to handle pending orders? This would allow us to apply our trading concepts and strategies while maintaining the same magic number for consistent tracking. Honestly, that could elevate this EA to a whole new level!
